Service

Amazon PPC, managed to profit.

We run search first, then extend into video and audiences only where the numbers hold. Every campaign answers to a margin target for its ASIN, and every week you see what changed and why.

03How we do it

Our PPC operating system

The same five habits on every account. None of them are clever on their own; doing all of them, every week, is what keeps spend profitable.

  1. 01Tier the catalog first
    What we look at
Each ASIN’s share of total sales.
    The rule we apply
Tier 1 is roughly 5% of sales or more, Tier 2 roughly 1 to 5%, Tier 3 under 1%. Budget, launches and fixes always follow tier order.
    What you get
A tiered ASIN list that decides where the first dollar and the first hour go.
  2. 02Clean up before you scale
    What we look at
The last 30 days of search terms: anything with clicks but no sales, or ACoS above target.
    The rule we apply
Waste is cut before a single new dollar goes in.
    What you get
A leaner account where new budget lands on terms that already sell.
    • Losing exact-match targets are paused
    • Losing phrase and broad search terms become negative exact
    • A root word that never converts across many terms becomes a negative phrase (for example, “gift”)
  3. 03Build by funnel, not by match type
    What we look at
What the shopper is trying to do when they type the search.
    The rule we apply
Loyalty and purchase campaigns launch first. Search terms that prove themselves there get promoted into consideration campaigns.
    What you get
A campaign map where every campaign has one job and one target.
    • Loyalty: your brand terms and repeat buyers. Be impossible to miss.
    • Purchase: shoppers searching for exactly what you sell. Always on.
    • Consideration: in-market shoppers who are not looking for you yet.
  4. 04QA every launch twice
    What we look at
Product priority, targeting, naming conventions and campaign settings.
    The rule we apply
Checked on launch day, then again after 5 business days: is it delivering (impressions, clicks, spend), and is it performing (ACoS, sales)?
    What you get
No campaign quietly sitting broken for a month.
  5. 05Run the cadence
    What we look at
The whole account, on a fixed rhythm.
    The rule we apply
Work happens on a schedule, not when someone remembers.
    What you get
An account that is looked after every day, with the changes logged in your weekly report.
    • New launches weekly, in tier order
    • Daily account checks
    • New campaigns optimized daily; mature campaigns 2 to 3 times a week
    • Negatives added weekly
    • Budget pacing every Monday and Thursday
    • A monthly audit against the account’s goals
  • Insight
Budget is worked backwards from the sales goal, not the other way round.
  • Insight
When ads look inefficient, we check the listing before we touch a bid.

The retail-readiness test: is the price competitive, is the rating strong enough, and does the creative win the click?

04In depth

How we run Amazon advertising

Search pays the bills. Everything we add after it has to prove it brings in sales search would not have found on its own.

Audiences: who sees the ad, not just what they typed

Once search is profitable we add audiences. In-market audiences reach shoppers actively browsing your category; lifestyle audiences reach people whose habits fit the product. Remarketing brings back detail-page viewers and cart abandoners, and lookalikes extend reach from your best buyers.

With AMC, we build custom audiences from your own data, such as people who watched a Sponsored Brands video but have not bought yet, and send them to Sponsored Display or Amazon DSP.

Measurement that ties back to profit

ACoS on its own hides most of the story. We judge advertising on incrementality: would this sale have happened without the ad? Where volume allows, we run holdout tests, and we track new-to-brand orders and halo ASINs, the other products a shopper buys after clicking an ad.

Full-funnel reports show path to purchase, time to convert and how frequency affects conversion. All of it rolls up to two numbers you can run a business on: TACoS and contribution margin per ASIN.

  • Retail media analytics across search, video and DSP
  • Holdout tests where spend is large enough to read
  • One weekly view: sales, ad spend, TACoS, margin

09FAQ

Amazon PPC Management questions

Do you only optimize for ACoS?

No. We set TACoS and break-even ROAS targets per ASIN, and look at new-to-brand and incrementality so ads are judged on profit.

Which ad types do you manage?

Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands (including video), Sponsored Display and Sponsored TV, plus Amazon DSP and AMC through our DSP service.

Will you rebuild my campaigns?

Only if the structure is holding you back. We review first and keep what is working.

How often do you make changes?

Bids and search terms are reviewed weekly, with structural changes planned in the monthly review.

Can you run PPC without managing my listings?

Yes. If a listing is the bottleneck we will flag it and can take it on through Account Management.

What clients say

  • Schaaf Tools logo
“We were looking for someone that could provide strategy for growth, including organic growth. For us, that has meant targeting a higher ACoS at times for a better TACoS. The result has been our two highest revenue months ever. Hiring Vadim was one of the best business decisions we made.”

    Eli Pearlman

    Schaaf Tools

  • Hit Products logo
“I’ve appointed three PPC agencies in the UK and US. No one was pulling the wool over my eyes. Then I met Vadim on Reddit — his replies were insightful and cut through the BS. EVERY metric has moved in the right direction and PPC spend has gone DOWN. Make sure Vadim is on your shortlist.”

“I’ve been most impressed by how PPC Jumpstart has delivered on its promise to improve my account metrics whilst maintaining sales. Several larger agencies with bigger teams have been unable to compete here.”

“Selling on Amazon has been a journey with a lot of struggles and we have gone through many ad managers who were not great. Once we started to work with Vadim there was an immediate difference, our sales went up and as the months went by they skyrocketed. Since working with Vadim our sales have gone from around 10K per month to 10K per day or 300K per month. 30X in about 2 years working with him. He is a valuable member of our team at this point and it is a pleasure to work with.”

  • Volt Grooming logo
“About 40% of our ad spend was going to wrong buyers, wasting our ad budget and losing sales to competition. After 3 months working with PPC Jumpstart our sales are up 25%. We use the right keywords and target the correct potential buyers with our ads. This is a huge improvement over what we were doing prior to working with them.”
